So this is Wednesday, and what have I done? The week is half over, yet it’s barely begun. OK, I’ll stop there. But no wonder I’ve got John and Yoko’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over) on the brain, after watching Alanis Morissette playfully cover it on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Granted, this would have made way more sense yesterday, when the Late-Night TV Music roster was filled with prominent females singing Christmas songs. Still, better late than never, right Alanis? And perhaps better than Tuesday’s other musical offerings: Jack Harlow performing a medley of Rendezvous and Way Out for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Roddy Rich delivering The Box on The Late Late Show With James Corden. I could make some joke about two wise guys, or come up with something to say about the fact that they were both wandering around sets designed to look like rooms in a suburban home. But really, at this time of year, we all have better things to do. So go do them. I hope you have fun.
