It’s cloudy and raining here at Tinnitist HQ today. So it’s a fitting time for some unplugged ballads. And as is often the case, the late-night TV music scene is happy to oblige. Wednesday brought out two suitably mellow performances: Jessie Reyez remembering life Before Love Came To Kill Us All in a giant conservatory on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon; and Sara Bareilles showcasing her Little Voice alone at the piano for The Late Late Show With James Corden. If these don’t chill your vibe, nothing will. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to find something to pump me up before I end up taking a late-morning nap and screwing up the whole day.
