What’s your favourite colour? I hope it’s blue — mostly since that’s a match for two-thirds of Tuesday’s televised musical offerings. Exhibit A: Singer-songwriter Hozier, rousing the rabble with his new Delta blues-inspired protest anthem Jackboot Jump on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Also taking a stand against The Man: Gary Clark Jr., sharing his defiant blues-rocker This Land on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Of course, blue isn’t for everyone. Some folks prefer pink. Or even red and green. And for them, Nashville sweetheart Kacey Musgraves was only too happy to help out with her holiday single Glittery, which she unwrapped on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Balk if you will at having to listen to Christmas music in November, but you can’t deny that Musgraves always adds a little colour to the proceedings. And that’s always a good thing.
