You can’t win them all. Here’s one that I lost out on: I had front-row tickets to these solo shows by Randy Newman in Edmonton in the early 1980s. Then, at the last minute, he cancelled. To this day, I have no idea why. And to this day, I’ve never seen him perform in the flesh — though I was fortunate enough to interview him. Maybe I’ll catch up with him someday.
