Late-Night TV Music (Holy Confusion Edition) | Feb. 28, 2019

2 Chainz and Aurora make Thursday evening seem like Sunday morning.

You ever have one of those days when Tuesday feels like Monday? Well, Thursday night on the chat shows felt a little Sunday morning this week. You can totally blame 2 Chainz for that. The rapper went full-on gospel for his performance of Forgiven on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, enlisting singer Marsha Ambrosius, some strings, a harpist and even a mustard-robed choir to help him warn the youngsters away from the thug life. Good for you, 2. But he wasn’t the only one sowing seeds of confusion; Norwegian electro-pop pixie Aurora came off more than a little angelic — and Björkian, if I’m being honest — during her two-song set of Animal and Queendom for Last Call With Carson Daly. Enjoy the rest or your Friday. Or whatever day you happen to think it is.
