Sometimes easy does it. Tuesday night was one of those times, with talk-show performers turning down the volume. Jazz legend Tony Bennett and Diana Krall kicked off the mellow wave, swinging into The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to croon ’S Wonderful together. British singer-songwriter Tom Odell and a gospel chorus kept the vibe going with the piano ballad If You Wanna Love Somebody on Late Night with Seth Meyers. John Mayer and his Hawaiian shirt brought some poppy New Light to Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s outdoor stage. At The Late Late Show with James Corden, Madison Beer tried to turn things up a notch with her groovy dance-pop single Home With You. Meanwhile, over on Last Call With Carson Daly, L.A. dark wave androgynists Drab Majesty conjured up the ’80s with their synth-pop cuts Too Soon to Tell (above) and Not Just a Name (bottom). Take it easy until tonight.
