This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Feeling nostalgic for some mid-’90s post-grunge electro-rock? You’ll find plenty of it on this fourth album from Shirley Manson, Butch Vig and co.
From the serrated power-chords and thwacking beatboxes to the sonic squiggles and licks nicked from Elastica, Breeders and the like, Bleed Like Me parties like it’s 1995. Except that few if any of these songs are as memorable as Queer, Stupid Girl or Only Happy When it Rains. For hits, you’ll have to go back to the old discs.
