Classic Album Review: They Might Be Giants | Here Come the ABCs

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Quirky pop-rock duo They Might Be Giants do it for the kids — again — on Here Come The ABCs.

Picking up where they left off on children’s fare like No! and Bed, John Linnell and John Flansburgh dish up 23 sugar-frosted, bite-sized servings of musical edutainment. And even if you know your alphabet, you can’t help but love the infectious joy behind tunes like the salsa-flavoured Flying V, the rootsy C Is For Conifers, the countrified I C U, the new wave Who Put The Alphabet In Alphabetical Order?, the organijazzed Rolling O and the psychedelic Pictures Of Pandas Painting. Letter perfect — and fun for kids of all ages.
