This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Famously skittish singer-songwriter Chan (Cat Power) Marshall finally finds a live setting where she seems comfortable — alone with her guitar in the middle of the woods. Of course, even that doesn’t keep her from turning her back to the camera, playing with her hair in her eyes and generally acting as timid as a, well, woodland creature.
ON THE DVD: A typically introverted 29-song set featuring multiple versions of several tunes, including Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Sophisticated Lady and From Fur City.
ON THE CD: A strummy acoustic epic called Willie Deadwilder that drifts along for 18 gentle minutes.
