Classic Christmas Album Review: Universal Honey | Can’t Stop Thinking About Christmas

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

The Canadian pop duo rock around the Christmas tree with friends like Kim Mitchell, Barenaked LadiesTyler Stewart, Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, Rheostatics’ Dave Bidini and Cowboy JunkiesPeter Timmins.

CHESTNUTS ROASTED: Only Three Ships — the other dozen songs are originals.

YULE LOVE: The Pretenders-like Glad It’s Christmas Time; the Phil Spectorish Best Christmas Ever; the punky Christmas in the Summertime.

YULE WISH: Their other albums were as consistently enjoyable as this.
