Classic Album Review: Teenage Knockups | Keep Hollywood Out Of Winnipeg

The old-school punks shoot off 16 slamming spitballs on the way out the door.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Great punk bands aren’t made to last.

So, in keeping with tradition, Teenage Knockups called it quits this summer. But not before leaving this sophomore CD as a memento. And a memorable affair it is, with 16 slamming spitballs of old-school L.A.-style punk fulla buzzsaw guitars, bashing beats, throat-burning vocals, topical lyrics and song titles like I Hate Kids, Kill Kill Kill and Starts With F And Ends With U (hint: It’s not Fubu). Count me in for the reunion tour.
