Classic Album Review: Supersuckers | Live At The Magic Bag

Marvel at the might of Eddie Spaghetti and his evil rawk henchmen with this live set.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Anyone who’s seen The Supersuckers knows these wisecracking riffmeisters are one of the hardest-working — and hardest-rocking — bands on the planet.

Now that they finally got around to releasing the high-octane Live At The Magic Bag — their first live rock CD — everyone else can marvel at the awesome might of Eddie Spaghetti and his evil rawk henchmen as they tear through a rip-snorting 70-minute set of old faves like Creepy Jackalope Eye and newer gems like Rock-N-Roll Records (Ain’t Selling This Year). One quibble: This set from a year-old Detroit gig is almost identical to their recent Live in Anaheim DVD. Next time, Eddie might wanna mix up the set list a little.
