Classic Album Review: Jeff Buckley | Grace: Legacy Edition

The half-dozenth posthumous reissue is great, granted, but enough already.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Yes, it’s another posthumous Jeff Buckley release — at least the sixth since the hauntingly magnetic singer-songwriter died in Memphis seven years ago.

Granted, this is an exceptional effort, combining a newly remastered version of his 1994 album Grace, a second disc of rarities and unreleased tracks, and a DVD with documentary footage, interviews and videos. Even so, if they don’t let the poor guy rest in peace pretty soon, they’re gonna have to change his name to 2Pac.
