Classic Album Review: Broken Spindles | Fulfilled / Complete

The Faint's bassist reminds you a little (or a lot) of Trent Reznor on this solo effort.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Faint bassist Joel Petersen gets in touch with his inner Nine Inch Nails gunner on 10 electro constructs that alternate thwacking beatboxes, buzzing synths and dusty robo-vocals with haunting piano melodies, glitchy textures and creepy ambience. Not bad — for a pretty (familiar) hate machine.
