This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
I have no idea why Sony finally decided to refurbish and reissue this blistering 1969 debut from the gravel-throated blues-guitar legend for its 35th anniversary. I’m just glad they did. You will be too.
HITS: Not a one — but superlative standards like Good Morning Little School Girl and When You Got A Good Friend make this searing set essential listening for any blues fan or budding guitarist.
MISSES: The only thing that could improve this set would be …
