Classic Album Review: Snow Patrol | Final Straw

The Glaswegian pop-rockers work it on their polished third studio album.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

“If it looks like it works, and it feels like it works, then it works,” claim Glasgow’s Snow Patrol.

That practical approach pays big dividends on their polished third disc Final Straw, a dozen cuts of radio-friendly pop-rock built from big crunchy guitars, rich melodies, mopey moods, no-nonsense beats and unobtrusive synths. Works for me.
