Tom Webber Promises To Do Better This Time

The U.K. singer-songwriter's charming new track is both timeless and timely.

Tom Webber hopes for a romantic do-over in his charming new single This Time — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

Packed with raucous energy, the British singer-songwriter’s latest track layers twangy guitars, dusty vocals, a razor-sharp chorus and even whistling over a spry groove. Produced and co-written with James Dring and Jack Kaye, This Time effortlessly bridges classic pop, rock, soul and R&B sonics with contemporary flair and production. The result? A “new retro” feel that’s simultaneously timeless and timely — and a great addition to your playlist.

Speaking of roads: Oxfordshire-born Webber started busking at the age of 16. Since releasing his first EP Stop And Think About It in 2020, he has played around the country supporting the likes of Nick Lowe, Richard Hawley and Suzanne Vega. He’s also played a handful of festivals like Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight, Truck and WOMAD.

Following on from his 2023 summer single Howling At The Moon, Tom released the EP The RAK Tracks. Recorded at the legendary RAK Studios, it features the cut Living For Us Both — the true story of losing a brother at a young age — and a duet on the Korgis’ hit Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime with Maya Lane. Inspired by music of all generations past and present, Tom’s sound is filled with both classic and contemporary influences such as Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan, Jake Bugg and Paolo Nutini.
