This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Pearl Jam completists may want this Tim Burton film soundtrack for the opening track Man Of The Hour, one of Eddie Vedder’s even-flowing jangle-guitar ballads.
Fans of cool oldies may be tempted to pick it up for its generation-spanning lineup of chestnuts, which range from Bing Crosby’s Dinah to Buddy Holly’s Everyday to The Allman Brothers Band’s Ramblin’ Man. And the Danny Elfman collectors in the crowd may be tempted by the composer’s ambient, moody score, which takes up two-thirds of the hour-long disc. If none of those appeal to you, well, you might want to throw back Big Fish.
