This came out in 1999 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Young master P is really Richie Hawtin, a techno DJ and composer from Windsor who has recorded a trilogy of discs under the Plastikman mask.
This latest instalment is Part 4, sort of — an array of leftovers, extra tracks and remixes. That explains both the title and the way Hawtin approaches these flowing, ambient-techno trances; he slowly digs into a groove, then unearths little treasures of sound one at a time. Great for the chill-out room. Or the car during a traffic jam.
