This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
THE ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE: 1972.
THE BACK STORY: Husband-and-wife singing duo Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett were great on their own, but ultimately it was their Friends — including Eric Clapton, Dave Mason, Bobby Keys, Rita Coolidge, Leon Russell, Billy Preston, Steve Cropper, Duane Allman, James Jamerson and Tina Turner — that fostered this loosely groovy and rootsy album’s cult status.
THE GOODIES: The R&B-fuelled Only You and I Know and the bluesy Comin’ Home might be familiar to classic rock fans.
THE EXTRAS: Six cuts from later, less successful Delaney and Bonnie solo records.
