This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
THE MAIN EVENT: That unemployed pal of yours? The one who never has a date and has to cash in his empties to pay the phone bill — but has every KISS video, live gig and TV appearance carefully catalogued on videotape? If he had enough money to buy an editing board and a microphone he could make videos like this amateurish hour-long unauthorized documentary mish-mash of assorted footage, photographs and narration.
Still, production quality aside, there are some classic moments here, including a post-KISS interview with drummer Peter Criss and a segment on short-tenured lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent, who now supplements his income by parading around KISS conventions in his old makeup.
EXTRAS! EXTRAS! A video photo gallery — just in case you haven’t looked at enough KISS pictures in the past hour.
AW, SKIP IT: Don’t buy this looking for live performance footage — in order to avoid litigation, the tape contains absolutely no music by the band.
