All good things must etc. Including Bandcamp Friday, apparently. Word is that today is the last one. Truth be told, I won’t miss them. While I’m sure they’ve been good for artists, they’re a pain for me — wading through the 1,000-plus emails I get at this time every month eats up an entire day and prevents me from doing much else. Case in point: There are about 10 albums I had to ignore today because I was too busy compiling this mixtape of 232 new singles, videos, cover tunes, remixes, remakes and unburied treasures. Hopefully I’ll get around to those LPs early next week. For the time being, however, let’s raise a toast to what might be the final Bandcamp Friday.
