Niklaus Romero is a man of two minds on his dynamic debut EP Duality — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.
“The EP deals with warring minds and embodies self-reflection, self-depreciation, and duality,” the American singer-songwriter explains. “There are two sides to every story, and this is mine.”
Indeed, whether it’s the heartbreak he details during Red Escape or the epic excitement on display in the darkly romantic single Villain, Duality shows the different sides of Niklaus — pop singer and punk rocker, lover and fighter, hero and heel, introspective artist and life of the party, fresh talent and old soul.
Whichever face he puts forward, however, Romero makes it clear he’s a force to be reckoned with. Deftly fusing punky grooves, playful synth beats, irresistible instrumentals and dynamically raw vocals, the rising musician delivers a captivating EP that resonates long after the story has ended. Niklaus reflects the self-exploration and growth in adolescence, and this EP should resonate with his target audience.
A south Florida native, Romero recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Then he literally woke up one day and took a leap of faith deciding to make music. That spontaneous decision led to one of the most fulfilling experiences of his life — the creation of a musical work that details his own personal growth and confidence.
