Tortured Soul crack open the vault to release their 20th Anniversary Album — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
A hefty mix of fan favourites and unreleased gems, the 16-track tome sees the Brooklyn trio toast two decades on the scene by including five previously unheard tracks and mixes — including two exclusive live recordings from the band’s 2020 performance at Little Big Beat Studios in Liechtenstein.
Since their first single I Might Do Something Wrong 20 years ago, frontman and songwriter John-Christian Urich and Tortured Soul have been a veritable force of nature on the scene, thanks to their world-class sound and deep, groove-centric rhythm. Fittingly, their 20th Anniversary Album features not one, but two versions of I Might Do Something Wrong: The Super Original Edit Intro and the Osunlade Lonely Mix.
Deliberately not titled a greatest hits or best-of — because the band is hardly resting on laurels — Tortured Soul’s 20th Anniversary Album is an invitation to celebrate their rich legacy while they put the finishing touches on a bevy of new releases. Their recent livestream from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas had more than five million viewers, and they just wrapped up their latest international tour.
