Late-Night TV Music (Get Hopping Edition) | April 26/27, 2021

Been too swamped to check out all the latest televised offerings? Join the club.

I don’t know about you, but I have been busier than a one-legged man at an asskicking this week. Yesterday, I was so swamped I didn’t even have time to check out all the Late-Night TV Music from Monday. Of course, that’s what the DVR and the Interwebs are for, right? So here’s a quick recap:

On Monday, Flaming Lips got back to where they once belonged, returning to the first venue they ever played to perform their fittingly titled new single Will You Return / When You Come Down on Jimmy Kimmel Live with the help of Micah Nelson. Also on the roster: Moneybagg Yo delivering a medley of Time Today and Hard For The Next on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Jordan McGraw rocking the Safari Inn with his number Her on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Now, on to new business — in the form of Argentine pop star Nicki Nicole, making her North American debut with the sultry Wapo Traketero and the upbeat No Toque Mi Naik (apparently medleys are the new singles) on The Tonight Show; and Years & Years, rendering everyone Starstruck on The Late Late Show. Good stuff. Wish I had more time to enjoy it. But based on my to-do list, I best get hopping.
