In a unique pairing, eclectic rockers Black Creek Reign have enlisted R&B popster Danny Fernandes for their danceable new single You & I — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
“Diving into a style we don’t normally do, here’s a dance-pop track that’s sure to get feet tapping and hands clapping,” the band say.
With a sound that beckons back to the glory days of guitar-centric rock — with nods to the likes of Santana, Hendrix and Chicago — Black Creek Reign add this powerful dance-pop track to their varied lineup of rock, funk, reggae, pop and jazz.
The track and collaboration are the latest in a steady stacking of successes: They won Raising the Roof / Revival Bar’s Battle of the Bands, and were runnersup in the following year’s Ultimate Champion rematch; songs from their debut EP Excommunicado and their recent singles All I Ever Wanted (This Year) and The Rain were heard nationwide. With hundreds of live performances under their belt — including the final show at Toronto’s Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood’s infamous Pig N’ Whistle, Pearson Airport’s YYZ Live, and the Los Angeles Songwriters’ Association — the trio have taken the stage everywhere from Nashville to Los Angeles and back to their hometown of Toronto.
