Dead Romantic put their money where their mouth is with their debut single All Talk — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
“We wrote this track and this record with absolutely no filter,” explains singer-guitarist Benjamin Owen of the Canadian/British alt-rock outfit. “We wrote with just the pure experience of playing music around the world.”
Along with Owen, Dead Romantic features Toronto producer and lead guitarist Mike Krompass — whose resume includes work with Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield, Steven Tyler, Theory of a Deadman and the latest Honeymoon Suite record — plus Scott Westervelt on keyboards and drummer Eddy Thrower (Lower Than Atlantis).
The hook-heavy slab of modern sonic goodness that is All Talk “came really easily,” Krompass adds. “The three of us were sat in a room with my great friend and co-writer, award winning songwriter Steve Diamond. It felt like the song pretty much wrote itself. The melody came quickly, the lyrics flowed and the title just popped. The chemistry was amazing. We met through rock n’ roll, and that is the language we’re projecting in this project. Lyrically, we hope to inspire those in doubt and join those who reap. It’s a new world… A new fight.”
