“John Prine died and there’s too much say,” Stephen Colbert understates in his personal introduction to the only late-night clip that matters today: Brandi Carlile singing Prine’s Hello In There on Wednesday’s edition of The Late Show. What more is there to say? Nothing. Well, I could tell you that there was one other performance on Wednesday: Dua Lipa lip-synching her number Break My Heart in front of a green screen in from her London home for the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. But really, I have nothing to say about that. Or at least nothing that her fans would want to read.
