Late-Night TV Music (Non-CMA Edition) | Nov. 13, 2019

Not into country? Liz Phair, Grace VanDerWaal & Dominic Fike were there for you.

Country music fans had a great night on Wednesday, thanks to the star-studded, performance-packed CMA Awards. I thought for a second about including all the musical segments below, but there were just too damn many. Besides, late-night TV music is the focus here, and the CMAs were definitely prime time. So country fans will just have to make do with The Zac Brown Band playing Leaving Love Behind and Spend It All On You on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Not into Nashville? No problem. The night also brought us veteran singer-songwriter Liz Phair, showing off her Good Side on Late Night with Seth Meyers; rapper Dominic Fike, making his television debut with the colourful Phone Numbers on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon; and popster Grace VanderWaal, getting her Billie Eilish on with her new single I Don’t Like You on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Granted, they weren’t as eventful and historic as the CMAs. But on the whole, an OK night — even if you aren’t a country music fan.
