Late-Night TV Music (Synth-Pop OD Edition) | Sept. 25, 2019

Bastille, Cherry Glazerr, Charli XCX and more dance the night away.

Hope you just can’t get enough British synth-pop. Because that’s about all the late-night music scene was dishing up on Wednesday night. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon went all out — not only did Bastille deliver their apocalyptic ditty Bad Decisions, but Fallon also injected himself into the proceedings, getting his Dave Gahan on with Charli XCX on a timely mashup of Depeche Mode’s (ahem) Just Can’t Get Enough and Icona Pop’s I Love It (which she cowrote). Over on The Late Late Show With James Corden, meanwhile, L.A.’s Cherry Glazerr (above) got into the act with their single Daddi, featuring an assist from bandleader Reggie Watts. And for your closing ballad, Jimmy Kimmel Live had James Blake crooning Are You in Love? Had enough? Yeah, me too.
