Some people believe there are no coincidences in life. I don’t know what they would make of Wednesday’s late-night musical lineup, which featured three very different female performers. First and foremost (at least for me) was London poet, spoken-word artist and unlikely rapper Kate Tempest, who performed her seductive track Firesmoke on Late Night with Seth Meyers. On the other side of the romantic coin, Tove Lo celebrated a breakup with her rendition of Glad He’s Gone on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. And finally, the one and only Cardi B joined her baby daddy Offset to celebrate Clout on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Coincidence? Well, duh.
