Some is good. More is better. And most of the late-night talk shows were offering a little something more in the musical department on Wednesday. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hozier enlisted gospel legend Mavis Staples to help beef up his stirring number Nina Cried Power. Meanwhile, Danish popsters Lukas Graham hit a double with performances of Love Someone and Not a Damn Thing Changed on the outdoor stage at on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Late Night with Seth Meyers brought the Avett Brothers out for the beautiful ballad Roses and Sacrifice. And, of course, Last Call With Carson Daly served up a two-fer from British roots-rocker Barns Courtney, who delivered Fire and 99 from the Belasco Theater in NYC. Not to be left out, even I’m including a little bonus: Louisiana singer Lauren Daigle‘s soulful Still Rolling Stones from Wednesday’s episode of Ellen. What more could you want?
