Everything (and everybody) comes back eventually. Doesn’t matter if it’s a ’90s sitcom or your favourite band. Indeed, the latter were out in full force on Monday night’s talk shows. The biggest of the bunch? Mumford & Sons, who played the tune Guiding Light — which is not about the soap opera, unfortunately — on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Meanwhile, Portugal. The Man unveiled So Young, the umpteenth single from their 2017 album Woodstock, on Late Night with Seth Meyers. But for my money, you can’t top the return of Flight of The Conchords, who presented the Harry Chapinesque Father & Son on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (above). Finally, over on The Late Late Show with James Corden, popster Tori Kelly enlisted gospel singer Kirk Franklin and a choir to help out on her aptly titled new single Never Alone. Enjoy. We’ll be back tomorrow.
