Late-Night TV Music | Sept. 20, 2018

The boys make noise on the late-night talk shows.

A few days ago it was ladies’ night on the talk-show music stages. Well, since turnabout is apparently still fair play, it was boys’ night on Thursday. And they don’t come much more boyish than popera heartthrob Josh Groban, who dropped into The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to deliver his richly romantic ballad River from his new album Bridges. Check him out below. Then check out L.A. modern-rockers Badflower — who actually sound more British than American — as they go big with their bombastic cut Ghost on The Late Late Show with James Corden. On the other side of the musical spectrum, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Skies joined forces (above) on Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s outdoor stage to perform Fr Fr (For Real For Real) from Khalifa’s recent Rolling Papers 2. And blues-rockers The Record Company closed out the night by cranking out Make It Happen at the Troubadour for Last Call With Carson Daly. Later, man.
