Tinnitist TV | Episode 125: Hot Mud

The Ottawa indie rocker talks Rehab Rock, Pink Cloud Pop, Beck, Warhol & more.

Hot Mud isn’t the first artist to make an album about going to rehab. But he might be the first one to actually make an album while in rehab.

The Ottawa indie pop-rocker who goes by the name of Muddy Watters recorded his debut album — fittingly titled Rehab Rock — while staying at a treatment facility. Now, after turning his life around, he’s enjoying the so-called pink cloud of fresh sobriety. And in keeping with his new confessional approach to songwriting, he just released his optimistic sophomore album Pink Cloud Pop. Shortly before the LP arrived, he Zoomed in to talk about his bluesy handle, his Beckish songwriting, his Warholian look and much more. Enjoy. And read more about Hot Mud and Pink Cloud Pop HERE.
