Classic Album Review: Grey DeLisle | The Graceful Ghost

The Americana artist's elegant and haunting album truly lives up to its title.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

She has a girlish voice that often reminds you of Dolly Parton. She strums an autoharp like an angel. She pens achingly beautiful songs steeped in the timeless tragic themes and dusty sepia tones of classic Americana. She is American singer-songwriter Grey DeLisle — and with The Graceful Ghost, she has made an album that is indeed both elegant and haunting.
