THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “The Silver Cord, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s 25th (yes, 25th) studio album is a full-hearted and purposeful embrace of electronic equipment and electronic music in its own right.
It was recorded by Stu Mackenzie in the King Gizz rehearsal studio by the Merri Creek in January 2023. Studio setup by recording engineers Nico Wilson and Laura Hancock.
Overdubs were recorded in green rooms, hotels, airports and busses in France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, England, Australia and the U.S.A. between March and July, 2023.
It was mixed by Stu at Newmarket Studios in North Melbourne with the help of recording engineer Guus Hoevenaars at two sessions: One in May and another in July 2023.”
