Not gonna lie: I did not watch the Juno Awards on Sunday night. Partly because I just didn’t want to. But mostly because I knew I didn’t need to.
I expected The Weeknd was gonna win big in the wake of for his Grammy snum, and he did. (I didn’t expect him to be a no-show, but in a way, I kind of respect him more for that.) I knew I could watch The Tragically Hip and Feist — along with all the other highlights — on YouTube the next morning, and I did. So really, I’m pretty sure I saw all the Junos I needed to see and more. The things I missed, I probably don’t care about anyway. Of course, world-class publicist Eric Alper is a far more responsible sort than I, so he took in the show.
