Late-Night TV Music (Not Much Edition) | April 20/21, 2021

I'd love to tell you it's been a week of outstanding performances. But I'd be lying.

Truth be told, the Late-Night TV Music world hasn’t really been holding up its end of the bargain this week. In fact, things have been so quiet that I didn’t even bother posting yesterday. And really, I could probably skip it again today. But for the sake of consistency if nothing else, here’s a roundup of what you’ve missed the past couple of nights. Spoiler alert: Not much.

The biggest name on the list would have to be Alanis Morissette, offering up her self-explanatory number I Miss The Band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Those who miss Brad Paisley could watch the Nashville guitar hero him team up with Jimmie Allen for Freedom Was A Highway on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Speaking of Nashville, Sam Williams (son of Hank Jr.) officially joined the family business with his swooning performance of Can’t Fool Your Own Blood on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. And finally, over on the poppier end of things, you have two options from The Late Late Show With James Corden: Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang delivering Leave Me Loving You, and KSI getting down to Patience with the help of Yungblud and Polo G. Patience will also come in handy while you wait for the chat shows to deliver some better music. Good luck with that.
