I was never the biggest Black Crowes fan in the world. I know I didn’t buy Shake Your Moneymaker when it came out in 1990. Nor do I recall owning a copy of the 1998 reissue that first included this outtake. So I’m pretty sure I just heard it for the first time when it came around again on the album’s recent 30th annversary edition. And fair due; it’s a winner. Sure, you could blast them for totally ripping of Aerosmith’s Draw The Line. Thing is, it’s probably the best Aerosmith song Aerosmith didn’t write. And it’s certainly better than anything the Toxic Twins come up with between then and now.
