Paige Rutledge is ready for another round in her new single Take Me Back To Tiki — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.
A sweetly intoxicating toast to a beloved bar “where the drinks still pour out strong,” the young country-pop singer-songwriter’s latest track also serves as a nostalgic reminder of the easygoing fun and good times we’re all missing right now.
There’s no missing Rutledge’s appeal. Between her catchy lyrics, enjoyable country-pop sound, powerful voice and passion for music, Rutledge makes a memorable impression — much as country music has made on her. The Oakville-raised singer-songwriter found her love for the genre at a young age. The authenticity of the lyrics and sound immediately captured her interest and encouraged her to tell her own stories through music.
Now just 21, Rutledge has already been singing more than half her life. She began performing at age 10 and began working with Michael Sarracini (Frozen Ghost, Honeymoon Suite) at his independent record label Mono Road Music in 2014. Rutledge released her debut single Someday that year and has gone on to release two self-written EPs, 2016’s Hey Girl and 2018’s From the Heart. Her latest project includes the single Without Me, released in January.
Rutledge has travelled across Ontario performing at festivals and other local events. She’s been recognized by the Country Music Association of Ontario as one to watch, named one of the top 20 artists in Magna’s Country Hoedown Showdown, and won the emerging artist showcase at Canada’s Largest Ribfest in Burlington in 2019.
