Late-Night TV Music (Double Doja Edition) | Oct. 19, 2020

The two-timing Cat wasn't just the MVP of the night; she was almost the only P.

Hey, sorry for being late today. I spent the morning cleaning gutters, raking and bagging leaves, mowing the lawn, sweeping the walk and setting up a bird feeder to get ready for winter. But I’m not the only one who’s been busy: Just look at Doja Cat — she did double duty on Monday’s Late-Night TV Music scene. First she dropped in on Bebe Rexha’s performance of Baby I’m Jealous on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Then she bolstered Ozuna’s rendition of Del Mar on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Not only was she the MVP of the night — she was one of the few Ps on the otherwise-quiet evening. Perhaps to make up for that, Fallon’s YouTube page also posted a clip of First Aid Kit covering Willie Nelson’s On The Road Again. Well, two can play at that game. I see their Willie (so to speak) and raise them a couple of clips from last week, when only Kimmel was on the air: 1 | Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters playing Learn to Fly at the Troubadour, and Woodkid crooning Horizons Into Battlegrounds. Hey, better late than never, amiright?
