After a full day of appointments, errands and other personal biz on Tuesday, I’m playing catchup today. But I’m not alone: The late-night TV music gods are apparently in the same boat, based on a slim Tuesday night lineup that felt more like a serving of leftovers. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon posted a second clip of Monday night’s musical guest Haim — this time the sisters took a walk on the mild side with the Lou Reed-meets-Joni Mitchell number Summer Girl. Meanwhile, Niall Horan continued his Late Late Show With James Corden residency with the piano ballad Put A Little Love On Me (I don’t even want to know what the hell me means by that). And finally, fans of Mulan and/or Christina Aguilera got an update on both from Jimmy Kimmel Live, where the latter sang Loyal Brave True from the new live-action Disney movie, backed by some culturally appropriate performers, including Taiko drummers. There. Now you’re all caught up. That makes one of us.
