Late-Night TV Music (Slow Start Edition) | Feb. 18, 2019

Ease into the working week with these low-impact performances from Monday.

It’s the end of a long weekend. So everybody is still moving a little slow. Still getting up to speed. I get that. And I’m here to help you ease back into work mode — with the assistance of some low-impact musical segments from Monday’s late-night talk shows. Start with the fittingly named Claypool Lennon Delirium, debuting their psychedelic, Aleister Crowley-themed Blood and Rockets on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Then switch over to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for actor-boy pop trio Wallows, asking the musical question Are You Bored Yet? (The answer may surprise you.) Then get funky with St. Paul & the Broken Bones, gussied up in sequins for GotItBad on Late Night with Seth Meyers. And finally, finish with Julia Michaels and the lavender-trousered Niall Horan crooning the romantic What a Time on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Now get out there and take on that world. Or go back to bed. Really, it’s your call.
