The bad news: Most of the TV talking heads are still on holiday, so we’re stuck in rerun land for another week. The good news: As usual, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is up and running. The bad news: It’s being guest-hosted by Anthony Anderson, whose seeming inability to go anywhere without his mommy is bordering on creepy (face it: in any movie, TV series or true-crime show, that character would turn out to be the killer). The good news: Queens Of The Stone Age play JKL! on Thursday, presumably in their new acoustic configuration. The bad news: Aside from AJR, Spiritbox, Chance The Rapper, a few morning-show treats and new docs on Simple Plan and Live Aid, there ain’t a whole lot to look forward to.
