Classic Album Review: Geri Halliwell | Passion

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Give the erstwhile Ginger credit: There aren’t many albums that could make you look back fondly on the collective artistry and group dynamics of The Spice Girls.

But this predictable, instantly forgettable ensemble of featherweight dance-pop, jazzy ditties and torchy ballads has us longing for the Spices’ long-overdue reunion — if only so they’ll concentrate their sporadic, individually inferior offerings into one easily ignorable glop of pop pointlessness.
