This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
A former collaborator of both Lou Barlow and Richard Davies, indie-pop singer-songwriter Eric Matthews hasn’t made a new album since 1997.
And with just seven songs that last 33 minutes, Six Kinds Of Passion Looking For An Exit barely qualifies as an album anyway. Still, for those who have missed (or can appreciate) Matthews’ dusky pop introspection, rich orchestrations and whispery voice, Six Kinds will be more than enough to tide you over for the next few years.
