This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
They may be instrumental prog-rock mathletes, but these rangy Texans aren’t afraid to crank it up and go straight for the throat.
And on this half-hour sophomore EP, they succeed handily, blasting out five tracks laced with fierce fretwork, technical wizardry and hyperkinetic drumming — the latter of which is pretty cool when you consider their drummer plays a toddler’s toy kit.
