Classic Album Review: Bunky | Born To Be A Motorcycle

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Bunky frontwoman Emily Joyce has a childishly sweet voice and plays drums like a happy kindergartener. Her partner Rafter Roberts lives in a house whose walls are built from guitars. Backed by members of some of San Diego’s hippest bands — including Rocket From the Crypt, Pinback and Black Heart ProcessionBunky crank out quirky, sugar-buzzed pop-rock jingles for big kids of all ages. My favourite: The noise-pop tantrum Gotta Pee. Gotta love it.
