Classic Album Review: 22-20s | 22-20s

The British blues-rockers have a sound that bridges the Delta & the Summer Of Love.

This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

They got their name from an old Skip James number.

But judging by the clanging guitars, tom-tom beats, reverb-heavy vocals and Summer of Love melodies on this 10-song debut, these British blues-rockers got just as much of their sound from ’60s acts like The Yardbirds and Animals as they did from old Skip. They’re loaded for bear.
